Thermal well design

Arctic Green Engineering Services Ltd. (formerly Mannvit Ltd.) has been involved in a number of national and international projects, including well design.

In geothermal systems, the role of the thermal well is to bring the utilized medium to the surface, therefore careful planning is essential.

The design includes defining the well structure, calculating the strength of the casing pipes, designing the surface fittings, defining the cementing and mud program, defining the tool assemblies, compiling the sectioning program, and defining other technical elements that may be required depending on the site.

These tasks also include the preparation of the technical documentation required for the licensing procedures and the preparation of the construction plans and drilling programmes.

Since 2008, Arctic Green Engineering has participated in many domestic and foreign projects, from low-temperature wells to extremely high wells over 300°C, with extreme conditions, during which we gained a lot of valuable experience.

We place great emphasis on the fact that our engineers continuously train themselves, follow the latest industrial technologies, and we constantly expand our software park in order to make the design process even more efficient. We consider it important that our designers also have construction experience, which allows them to compile more effective forecasts and programs in line with industry practice. Our design engineers have the authorizations required by the authorities for the design and technical inspection of thermal wells.
