Békéscsaba is planning to replace the gas-fired heating system of local institutions and newly built sports buildings with a modern 5.3 MW geothermal district heating system.
The development concept will include the construction of 1 geothermal production well and 2 geothermal return wells capable of extracting the full volume of thermal water, as well as a geothermal pipeline connecting the wells. The thermal energy from the thermal water will be supplied to the consumers through a new district heating system in the city.
The thermal energy will be used to heat the city's heat-intensive facilities with environmentally friendly green energy, thus avoiding the need to burn significant amounts of natural gas and reducing carbon dioxide emissions, both locally and globally.
Our engineering team provided the municipality with a full engineering consultancy service for the project preparation.
