Renewable energy study in Eger

On behalf of the Municipality of Eger, our company carried out a detailed analysis of the geothermal potential of the city and its surroundings. The aim of the studies was to identify the geothermal heat supply potential and to assess the potential for renewable energy-based power generation.

As a first step, we carried out a hydrogeological analysis of the area and an aquifer modelling, which allowed us to understand the geothermal energy potential of the area.

Once the energy source had been identified, a feasibility study was carried out by assessing the heat demand and the technical and technical possibilities of each consumer. In addition to the above, the study analysed in detail the opportunities and constraints of the natural and technical environment and the legal framework concerned and made concrete proposals for the feasibility of geothermal energy.
