Arctic Green Engineering Services Ltd. (formerly Mannvit Ltd.) has carried out the geothermal research that forms the basis of the heating system built in the Miskolc area, which is the largest geothermal system in the country.
Our company's activities were mainly focused on data collection, measurement, evaluation, well and well workover design and well supervision of the first well drilling.
The well was drilled to a depth of 2.3 km and provides thermal water with a yield of 100 l/s and a discharge temperature of nearly 100°C. The first well was followed by the drilling of one production well and three injection wells. The subsequent geothermal heating plant has a nominal capacity of 55 MW.
