Arctic Green Engineering Services Ltd. (formerly Mannvit Ltd.), as a subcontractor of Főmterv Zrt., participated in the development of the long-term development strategy of FŐTÁV. Our company's task was to examine the possibilities of connecting geothermal heat supply to FŐTÁV's systems.
We prepared a geological assessment of the Budapest region and examined the areas where geothermal energy could be economically implemented as a partial substitute for the heat source of the Budapest heating system. During the preparation of the strategy, the geothermal aquifer areas to be potentially explored were identified, the possibilities for connection to the Budapest district heating system were identified and the energy characteristics of the connection were determined.
